Ala' Balloon Glow!

The Lion's Club sponsored it's 22 annual Balloon Festival in Highland Village August 14-16, 2009
The location, Copperas Park in Highland Village, offers plenty of parking, ample room for chairs and blankets for families to enjoy a variety of music, a small carnival and vendors.
Beautiful Lake Lewisville offers a wonderful view for ballooners!
The most unusual thing at the Balloon Festival...
an inflatable human ball.
This Bean was strapped in tight for a rolling ride.

This Bean ran her way around like a gerbil!

This Bean was bounced around like a...
jumping bean!

The wind settles down and three balloons head for the skies.
The best view: from a hot air balloon in flight!

The tastiest thing at the festival...snocones!
Funnest way to eat them...Huge serving...big enough to share with friends.

The flattest thing at the festival...
a balloon waiting to be blown up.

Most comfortable spot at the festival;
surrounded by friends and family.

Most awesome site; balloons glowing as dusk begins to fall.

I have WANTED one of those inflatable balls - well, actually three. The boys could each get in one and then not be able to fight with each other. Mom heaven.
