4th of July with Family

It's time to "Catsup"!

For all my dear friends that are so particular about their "ketchup"

Although we did not have time from Family Fun

to see the actual "bottle",

it is the immediate vicinity for future adventures.

One of the main attraction is a new facility
featuring Stingrays.
A little patience and you are able to touch
their backs as they glide by.
Surprising, they are soft.

It's all about Butter!
Our days were filled with activity to
delight and entertain
the little Bean.
Uncle Buzz and the Big Dog took her fishing.
She was the only one catching fish that day.

Cousin Corey was the best of pals.
They colored, they played cards, they listened to music
and they enjoyed the tub.

One of the highlights of the trip was lightening bugs.
Butter had never seen "Fireflies" so we did our best to catch some.
Catching the little glo-bugs was trickier than I remember.
Maybe it's because they are harder for me to see...
maybe it's cuz the mosquitoes are more bothersome,
any-which-way it became too dark too fast to catch them,
so we were perfectly content to watch them
as twilight turned to darkness.

And so many girlie activities...
It's all about fun!

It's a family affair!
Auntie Robin, Uncle Buzz, Rachel and Corey...
Auntie De wouldn't miss the family festivities,
Grammie and Grandpa too...
the best of all surprises was
Uncle Paul and cousin Hans
joining us for Holiday fun.


4th of July
The house was buzzing with activity that day.
Card games were being played,
challenges were being issued at the pool table
and the kitchen was a full of culinary creations!
The big accomplishment of the day...
All American Flag Mold Jello!
Jello, you scoff...
well, dear friends, let me tell you,
it was very tricky.
It involved three separate layers and perfect timing.
I had to set two timers to keep from getting distracted!
The end result...Perfection!
Every bit was eaten...
unlike the jello Easter eggs I insist on making each year.
