Butter had a blast at Musical Theater Camp!
Each day was full of fun, action and learning.
There were nearly 40 kids in the camp.
They were broken down into smaller groups,
(Butter was a Firefly) and rotated through workshops.
The four sessions involved;
singing, acting, props and crafts.
These will complete a "costumed" look the day of the performance.
Day Two: In addition to acting and singing, everyone worked hard
to complete the set.
Butter Bean focused on the bright sunshine.
Day Three:
The group goes on a behind-the-
scenes-tour of the Actor's Conservatory.
Then it's back to "camp"
to rehearse the show again.
Tomorrow is the big performance!
Butter tells me she keeps her script handy
in the car so she can learn her line.
"What on earth is she talking about!?"
" The Case of the Missing Caterpillar"
to complete the set.

All the kids are dressed for a camping experience.
Alas, the drama begins as Francy the caterpillar is lost.
Everyone helps to look for her.
They all retire for the evening in one large tent.
The next morning after they all emerge
from the single tent, a beautiful butterfly makes
her appearance.
"My name is now Francesco!" she says.
Yeah!
Yeah!
She had one line as well as singing solo and duet.
She is our Sunshine!
She is our Sunshine!
