Every Bean Loves a Parade

For three years running we have joined hundreds of other kids and parents to march in the heat of the 4th of July parade! There are no bands, no floats, no baton twirling girls, but there are bikes and trikes, scooters and strollers and pull wagons and motorized mini vehicles. True 4th of July colors rein with tissue paper, crepe paper, foil garland, and flags, lots and lots of flags that decorate every inch of anything imaginable.
This year Butter's bike, complete with training wheels, was gussied up in patriotic fashion. Three colorful bears were proudly displayed to catch the eyes of parade watchers and were rewarded with smiles and waves.
