Today is the day!

Da Heat and Butter pack her lunch for the first day of school. Butter is very specific about what she wants. She also only wants so many items in her lunch. Five seems to be the magic number. Daddy made her a ham sandwich, no crust, cheese, mayo and lettuce, a small bag of Cheetos, a tiny container of raisins, some grapes and a chocolate chip, M & M cookie. Her Hello Kitty Thermos (matches the Hello Kitty lunch bag and pack pack, of course!) will keep her water super cold for the day!
What a glorious day to start school. There is a gentle breeze and clear skies. Butter dressed herself this morning in her SuperGirl t-shirt, Hello Kitty skirt (with shorts attached) and her sneakers. Perfect attire to play and learn!

Each day as the children arrive the teacher helps them put their lunch boxes on top of the cabinet. The kids then find their name inside their cubby of the day. Their cubby moves each day they are at school.

Next, the children pick out their own name among their classmates.
Butter was instructed to pick out a book and sit in the reading circle on number 14 (which she quickly found). Her book was about Franklin, one of her favorite characters. Mama read the first page; it was Franklin's first day of school too. The perfect book to start off a perfect day!
