The café has a wide variety of foods available from
$4.25-8.95 for the moms
and children’s meals at $3.95.

The Northwest Regional Airport is the largest Private airport in North America.
There are over 550 airplanes on site.
We have permission from the owner Glen Hyde
to check out the airplanes around the area.
Hopefully he will be available to meet us and take us around his airport after lunch.

Our Alpha Bud group expanded to nearly 30 people!!
Everyone was interested in the "little" airport we had all passed signs
for so many times on our way to Fort Worth.
Please note if you make this trip:
Airplanes have the right away!
Peculiar you might think...
but as soon as you enter the airport you are sharing the road
(think runway) with these planes...
don't be surprised if you see one headed right for you!
Pull off to the side and enjoy the view.
Who knew we could go shopping too!?
Do you think Daddy would want to one for Father's Day?
As we gather at the cafe', planes for landing and taking off
right in front of us,
the kids notice a hanger open just to our north
and the shiniest, prettiest airplane ever rolls out.
Some grab cameras to capture the plane...
"Wanta go over there?, I ask.
"Let's GO!"
Mr. Stan was so very kind as to give our Buds an impromptu lesson on airplanes and flying.
"Get as close as you like," he says...
"But, no touching...don't put finger prints on the plane!"
We all pose for a quick picture...

And he is off!

Looks like everyone is here now...
Time for lunch!

Lunch was a treat for everyone.
The food was delicious, the company awesome,
the air was cool and refreshing inside
the planes kept on taking off and landing outside!

This was BIG!
Glen Hyde, the airport's owner took us on a personal tour,
sharing with us two different hangers.
This hanger housed an Albatross that is being restored.
Wow! just like the one Jimmy Buffett flies.

This hanger houses a military helicopter.
The kids were thrilled as each one got a chance to sit in the captains chair!

What a fine looking group!
We were all flying high from the excitement of the day.
Many thanks to everyone at the Blue Hanger cafe'
Roxanne, Julie, Shaun and Cheri'...
and especially Glen Hyde of the Northwest Regional Airport
for an unforgettable adventure!
