"Mama, close you eyes...
I made a snack for you!"
Aaaaah, how sweet, I think. What can it be?
"It's a surprise!"
it was creative...and complex!
The list of ingredients include:
soda crackers, crumbled
Special K Strawberry cereal
Welsh's Fruit Snacks
"left over" peanut butter (it was in a separate little tub)
Goldfish
Chocolate syrup
Yumm-o!
You are welcome to use this original recipe if desired.
Combine all ingredients except chocolate syrup
Gently mix
Place spoonfuls in muffin tin
Drizzle with Chocolate syrup
Enjoy!
Hmmm...recalling the last creative snack...
What are you going to put in your salad I ask.
"Green Apples, Mandarin oranges and those other fruits we got at Spouts."
"The apricots?", I ask.
"Yep, those!" she replies.
Butter gets out our pretty blue bowl,
gets the cutting board,
and gathers her ingredients.
She washes her fresh fruit.
I help her core and slice the apple.
She cuts chunks with a table knife.
I open and drain the Mandarins.
She opens the apricots, pulls out the pit and
Cuts it into bite size pieces.
All the ingredients go into the blue bowl,
it is gently folded to mix and
set on the table with a serving spoon.
The perfect addition to our dinner of
bacon and pancakes!
