Howdy Folks... Welcome to the Texas State Fair!

The Texas Star, North America's largest Ferris wheel at the State Fair of Texas is visible from everywhere!
Butter's favorite memories from the State Fair last year were of the "Little Hands on Farm". We headed there first. We made our way through the farm, gathering and harvesting along the way. The highlight activity is an opportunity to ride the little tractor.

The Pee-Wee Stampede was next on our agenda. Butter Bean was ready and willing to get into the rodeo and "ride 'em!" with the best of them.

Butter Bean was chosen to participate in the Barrel Racing.
She's first in line to show 'em how its done!

Yippee! She's a Winner! Check-out that shiny trophy!

No fair is complete without cotton candy!

Look how tall I am Mama!
We're ready to board The Texas Star!!
Nothin' scary about heights for these girls!

We hit the arcade before heading back home. Butter is quite the fisher-girl. She wins a big bear...pink of course!

No trip to the texas State Fair is complete without a visit to Big Tex, a few rides, a big prize, and cotton candy. Winning at the Barrel Races at the Pee-Wee Stampede will probably be Butter's best memory this year. State Fair 2009 is sure to include the opportunity to put on a cowgirl hat
and ride, Butter, ride!
